Installation for Kawasaki E-Series Pendant Armor
- Power-down the controller and disconnect the teach pendant cable at the controller. Do not attempt to disconnect the cable from the pendant itself.
- Remove the Velcro hand strap from the left side of the pendant.
- Remove the hanger atop the pendant (retain 3 screws for replacement hanger)
- Place the bumper face up on a clean work surface and feed the pendant cable (controller block-connection at arrow) through the lower-left slot in the bumper.
- Pull the remaining cable through the bumper and slide the gray spiral cable protector into the lower-left corner until seated.
- Once the corner is secure, pull the bumper across the bottom of the pendant, then along the sides and over top of the pendant.
- Feed the Velcro hand strap through the left side cam slots in the bumper (needle-nose pliers will aid with re-installation) and reattach velcro hook and loop closure.
- Slide the replacement black HDPE hanger (provided) through the slot on the back (top) of the bumper. Reuse three OE screws (from step 3) to secure hanger to pendant.
- Reconnect the cable to the controller, reset e-stop and power-up the controller.
- Installation is complete.
